Can someone give me a general idea around how most states and/or the government handle grid tied systems that are installed in stages. If I put in 10 panels this year and a grid tie inverter but wait until next year to add another 10 panels, can I only take the credit one time or can I write off in multiple years.
I know that each state handles their credits/rebates differently but I am interested if there is a benefit to making one larger investment now vs multiple investments over time. Clearly no one knows how much longer these programs will continue but I would like to hear from some one who was able to take multiple credits for a staged install. I live in MA so would be particularly interested in any MA experiences.
