    Solar PV evolution

    Hi All,
I'm doing some research on the evolution of solar power systems. I'm currently trying to find some examples of early 1990's flat roof ballasted systems. Do any of our members here know of any such systems still in existence? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Most flat roof with stone ballast can be found on industrial, commercial or school buildings. The solar racking system was held down using a heavy concrete "feet" instead of being bolted to the roof structure which would penetrate the roof membrane and could cause leaks.

Have you tried doing a Google search using "Flat Roof Ballasted Solar Racking"? It should provide you with some companies that build that type of frame and they may have some information on existing systems that they installed.

      Getting my own ballast system

Let me know what you find out.
We are going to have our own flat roof ballasted system installed in Jan or Feb.
