OK but many multi-meters have very limited current measuring capabilities. One that do usually have a limit of 10 amps. Do you know how to set up the meter to measure current? It requires taking one lead from the battery off, and put your meter in series. If th einverter uses more current than your meter is capable of can damage your meter.

OK try this as it will work. Set your meter up to measure current, turn on inverter and one set of lights and see what you get. If you see OL displayed on the meter shut down immediately. With one set of lights on you should see about 3 amps.MSEE, PEComment

ebay 40A-MPPT-Solar-Battery-Regulator = bad
Go with the TriStar MPPT. You get a MUCH better product for the money. Metal case with knock outs instead of a thin plastic case, remote battery temp sensor, better cooling, 100% humidity rating, more flexibility in settings,etc etc etc. Just download manuals for each and look at the difference.Comment
