Looking for Licensed Electrician in Minneapolis for 8kW Grid Tied Array

I am a senior mechanical design engineer with over 40 years of electromechanical experience and strong construction skills.

I have obtained a plan set for my 8 kW Grid Tied system and have an electrical and mechanical bill of material. I can share the plan set for a scope of work.

All material would be supplied by me unless otherwise agree upon. I would plan to install the solar array by myself to a roof junction box.

I'd like the electrician to also check my work.


The electrician would be responsible for all connections from the junction box to the meter along with Xcel connection requirements and Permit.

Hey -- if you find anyone, let me know. My company is moving from Minneapolis to St. Paul in a few months. I'm working through a 100kw commercial install, and it's freaking expensive to use a solar installation company. It's also freakin expensive to heat a 10,000 sf building, about $2K a month with gas and electric, and the current owner doesn't even use the warehouse.
