Thin Film Solar, Specs. please help

Hi I am new to solar panels.
recently i saw a thin film panel and it shows Rated Voltage Vmpp (V)-100V
normal crystalline panels shows Voltage as 24V. What is the difference? are these thin film panels good.

    Welcome !

Panels can be made in a wide range of voltages, 3V and up ! highest I've seen before was 90V, but with Grid Tie inverters wanting 350 -350VDC to run from, higher voltage panels have their place.

Thin film is OK, ages faster than mono/poly crystalline cells, and is less efficient per square foot, so you would need a larger array for the same wattage.

Bad choice if you want a 12 or 24 V system, even though the larger MPPT controllers can down convert the voltage, that large of a change, gives a litter higher conversion loss.
