Solar guy from Metro Detroit here, hi everyone!

I have been working in the solar industry for 5 years- fell into the business on accident when I was looking for a painting job during the recession (best decision besides asking my wife to marry me!) I love the work- the challenges, helping people and the environment, and just doing right by the world. I am not a tree hugging hippie (well mostly not), I was a business major in school and love money- but there is something about solar and the industry that hooked and holds me tight. I recently got laid off from my job at a local installation company that is moving away from solar and decided to take some time to stay at home with my young children and do some freelance solar work. This is something I have always wanted to do- use what solar knowledge I have to help people where profit is not always the primary goal. Well, thats all for now- one of my little guys wants to play robots with me!

I am always looking for interesting projects in the area that might need a hand with technical advice/design/permitting help/field assistance, if anyone is in the Detroit area and needs some help, let me know!
