My name is Bill and I own a company in Spain selling Infrard heating. I am exploring Solar as an alternative energy source to further reduce the cost savings that our heaters offer. Looking at the capital costs of replacing Iberdrola (energy company) supply with alternatives. Typically in our region th energy company provides 5.5 kW/h which is wholly inadequate. Our heaters are energy saving but still have to compete with this low supply limit.
If anyone can advise me the surface area required for producing letś say 5.5 kW/h with solar power, either on or off grid.

Creating electricity with solar PV power, is very expensive. If you are only needing heat, vacuum tube collectors with a hot circulating oil is your best bet.
