Hi, I have a smal solar panel system with a 10W solar panel and 12V 7Ah deep cycle lead acid battery. I am only using it for a small 7W, 12V LED-bulb so i have not used an inverter for my array. I have a 12V socket outlet, but to charge my cell phone I need a 12/3,6V adapter (for different types of cell phones). I have only found the ones used in cars (http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/12v-mobile...ing-tips-a85la), but i want a normal plug for home use. Does anyone have a solution?

If I understand you correctly there is no solution by design. Plugs are different to prevent you from plugging into wrong voltage supplies. You do not want a plug that works on both 12 volt DC and 240 volt AC.MSEE, PE -
My quastion was if there is an adapter which I can use for charging cell phones directly from the solar battery (12V DC) in the house. In my car I have a 12V cell phone charger and it has 12V input DC current, but I can not use a car plug in a regular socket outlet.Comment

There are household current (AC) chargers
There are automotive chargers
You could purchase another automotive charger, clip the lighter plug off the end, and wire that (pay attention to the polarity + & -) with a fuse, to a battery in your house ??

YOu home sockets are 240 VAC, not 12 VDC.MSEE, PEComment

Ok my bad. Maybe I got everything wrong.
I live in a small village and there is no electricity. I have a solar cell giving energy to a small battery. I also have a socket outlet (12V DC)

connected to the battery. Here is a picture of a power adapter both for car and for a normal socket outlet (to the left). I want the normal type, but I don´t know if the one in the picture is for 230/3,6V or if it is the same as the car adapter.

Normal power plugs have a AC/DC converter (such as a 230/5V AC/DC adapter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_adapter), but what I need is a DC/DC adapter/power plug (12/3,6V) which I can use directly from my outlet to the cell phone. Hehe not to easy to explain, but hope that somebody can help or even understand my question :PComment

Then if you also need to use the same charger(s) when traveling, get the other standard adapters which convert the mains AC to 12 volts DC with a built-in automotive style power outlet.SunnyBoy 3000 US, 18 BP Solar 175B panels.Comment

Your best bet, in my opinion, is to use the available adapters which charge cell phones or other equipment from a 12 volt nominal battery supply (automobile, etc.) Their design input voltage will be cover the range from ~11 volts to ~15 volts, since the car electrical system under normal use can deliver voltages anywhere in that range.
