Crossing the (power) line?
Forgive if earlier post is considered advertising by this forum. My biz partner and I are working hard and investing money out of pocket to help find practical applications for off-grid solar technologies. Purposeful, sustainable and profitable can co-exist. (we hope to have all 3 one day - already ave the first two)Comment

Posting from my phone - very hard. Look on the web page for Solar Monolith. Big, heavy, and not a lot of power, but it works

You could base yourself on smaller fans...
For the fans, what about using a smaller one? Or a pair of smaller ones?
Like O2 Cool DC operated one? (Video)w00t?Comment

One important point about fans is impeller tip speed - the source of all noise.
Best to have a larger slower rotating fan than a high speed one that is a nuisance. I have two that I never use because of that.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Comment

Yeah, you could probably run 2 5v fans. Its the same fans they use the laptop coolers. Run them into a usb adapter. I ordered two for my project from directron.comComment

We are building a cabin in a very remote location. I figured I would rig something up for the ladies to have some sort of cooling system while we work. I have done some research, but this is my entry level project.
Also I know it depends on the specs of that fan motor, however I cannot find any specs on a fan motor like the one listed above. I know it plugs into a 110 outlet lol[/QUOTE]
