Power Station charging - double solar panels

    Hi there,

I'm hoping someone a lot more intelligent and knowledgable than I may be able to help! I'm very new to this.

    I have the following equipment:

    - Anker C1000 portable 1kW power station - XT60 connection port

    - Anker PS200 (531) 200w solar panel - XT60 cable connection

    - Renogy 200w solar panel - MC4 cable connection

The Anker C1000 power station is supplied with a dual XT60 cable to allow more than one solar panel connection. I have a third party converter cable to go from the dual Anker XT60 cable to convert to MC4 to connect the Renogy 200w panel.

    The situation as follows:

If I connect each panel to the C1000 separately, in perfect conditions each panel will draw around 150w to charge the C1000's battery in direct sunlight.

If I connect the Anker PS200 (531) first it'll pull the 150w, but then when also connecting the Renogy via the dual cable the C1000 will still pull in just 150w.

If I connect the Renogy first it'll pull 150w, then connecting the Anker PS200 (531) second it will pull a combined max of circa 185w only and no more.

As a newbie to this, is there anything that I can buy that will mean when connecting the two panels to the C1000 I can pull a combined circa 300w in perfect conditions? Presume I have a technology compatibility issue somewhere!

    Thanks a lot for reading
