    Switching from Generator to Battery

Good Morning folks, I am new at Solar set up .
    Currently running small 12v system with 3000w Renogy Inverter, 60amp Renogy MPPT, 4-240w Panels, 6- 6v 225 Batteries ( 675 amp Hours)
I currently use 25amp smart battery charger to top up batteries during cloudy sessions running off generator.
The problem I am having is I am limited to 25amps of extra power only (even though I am on generator power)any more, and I am dipping into battery reserve. So how can I run on Generator power only, as opposed to dipping into battery reserve while continuing to charge batteries?
I would prefer to continue to run loads through Inverter, also I am completely off grid.
Hopefully I explained clear enough to the board in order to receive solution.
    Thank You

The inverter can not run directly off the generator so you would need to set up a Generator to Inverter change over switch for the A/C power.

My system is set up this way. This allows for the house loads to run off the generator while you charge the batteries. It also allows you to run the house loads off generator if you have an inverter or battery failure.

      You must reduce your loads.

Organic farmer, not sure why I would have to decrease loads if running on generator only, my generator is more than capable of running my required power needs. Just need a way to isolate generator from battery bank as I can always plug portable battery charger directly into generator.

I highlighted a portion of what you posted. Per that statement do what Organic farmer said "reduce your loads".

Yes, however my next line reads "How can I run on Generator power only" Reducing my loads does not solve what I am trying to do.. I do not want to unplug from my Inverter (whether it is on or not as cord is securely attached not permitting quick unplug to plug into generator instead.
Guess I'm looking for some sort of switch over, just not sure what type is recommended for this application.

Connecting from generator to Transfer switch seems pretty straight forward, however connecting to Inverter side is not clear.
I am currently plugged into one of 3 115 outlets on the inverter and running extension to my cabin.
