is your BMS throttling your chargers ?
> banks 960W x 12v each. (no idea how many panels. wired in series or parallel)
That's 64A ea
128 A going into a 720A battery bank
What are the set point voltages for the chargers?
What is the PV array voltage ? 12V can't charge a 12.8V battery

Li batteries should have a BMS ( Battery Management System ) that protects the battery from electrical damage. Rapid discharge, rapid charge, over discharge, overcharge - can all damage the battery and cause a failure and sometimes a fire. Because the BMS is usually designed to only handle a small % of the battery power, it often has connections to interact with the charge controller ( CC ), so the CC does not overwhelm the BMS and cause a failure.
Additionally, there should be specific charging instructions for batteries, and you should program your CC's to those specs.
