    The boxes and shipping cost are more than $2000. The batteries alone are going to cost $6000 today and more in a few years when you replace them.

    Those $6000 batteries will supply you with $1000 to $1500 worth of electricity bought from the POCO by the time they need to be replaced. Your idea like the 10's of 1000's of others before you arrived was DOA.

      Well, "you don't know what you don't know" but trust us. This is a really bad idea no matter how you cook it up. If you must run stand-alone and portable then propane is your best choice by far.

        If you want to incorporate solar there are some solar direct applications. you can run a fan and or an LED sign directly from a solar panel. Or add a small battery buffer, you could also run a radio/MP3 player and or a cell phone charger.
