Problem with load output on charge controller

Hi, I have installed an LS1024 (10Amp) solar controller to a 120ah Deep cycle battery. The load output is connecting to 12v led lights, three 12v extractors, a 12v pump. When I connect all of these to the load output on the solar controller, with ONLY the battery connected, everything works perfectly.
As soon as I connect a 100W solar panel to the controller (with battery connected), there was no power going out of the load, everything just turns off. The solar panel is definitely wired correctly.
The battery and Solar panel indicators on the controller are green, however no output.
I removed the solar panel cables from the controller and all works well I get power...UNTIL..I reconnect the solar panel and there is no power output.
I removed the load cable from the controller thinking i was overpowering in some way, and connected just one 12v led to the controller load (with panel and battery connected) and it does not work either.
    I am clueless!

This controller appears to have a common positive ground. Is that how it is wired?

      Hi, thanks for your reply,
The solar panel is connected direct to the LS1024 (no grounding)
The battery is grounded from the negative terminal
The load is not grounded and connects directly to a fused power strip.

Is the problem related to the fact that my solar panel is not grounded?

No the problem is it is grounded. You have both the negative of the battery grounded, and the controller grounded to positive. Remove all grounds. They serve no purpose.

Run only positive and negative from panels to controller, Controller to battery, and remove everything else. Float the system. The real issue is you bought incompatible components.

Hi guys and thanks for your suggestions.
I have removed the ground from the battery negative. and still in this case there is no power coming from the load.
The funny thing is, that at night, when no charge is coming through the controller via the solar panels, with the battery connected and load connected, all my devices work perfectly.
As soon as the sun shines, load is disabled. SO odd, seems like my solar controller dislikes the sun )

I think your charge controller load terminal is only intended to operate yard or night lights also need to check the capacity of the load terminal.

The load terminal may be programmed to be a dusk-dawn light controller.

You are right, I spoke to the supplier who said it is programmed to be a dawn/dusk controller. He said that I can alter these parameters by conneting a PC using a software, however, Im puzzled as there is no interface to connect a pc?
Anyhow, I am gonna have to give up on this one. I am searching for another solar controller MPPT 30amp. Could you please give me any of your suggestions for a good model, efficient, budget priced, which I may hook up into my campervan?
thanks so much for your help!!

You can get an "imported" EP solar Tracer 3215BN MPPT for about $175.00 For a bit more you can get rock solid Midnite Solar or Morningstar products
