I have a 15kw generator of 220/110 V output , and a SW4855, the inverter has a problem staying in BULK charge, it seems to drop out after about 2 minutes of charging, it goes back to charging 2 minutes later, The batteries are at 48-49V. The AC volts seems to drop to 95V while the bulk charge light is on, then the V meter goes nuts for about 10 seconds after the build charge is dropped, whats the fix ???

Loose connections will be hot, feel around carefully, or use an IR thermometer to test connections.
When you start charging, do you hear a difference in the sound of the generator motor ?
Try using a kill-a-watt meter, and measure the frequency - maybe it drops below spec for chargingPowerfab top of pole PV mount (2) | Listeroid 6/1 w/st5 gen head | XW6048 inverter/chgr | Iota 48V/15A charger | Morningstar 60A MPPT | 48V, 800A NiFe Battery (in series)| 15, Evergreen 205w "12V" PV array on pole | Midnight ePanel | Grundfos 10 SO5-9 with 3 wire Franklin Electric motor (1/2hp 240V 1ph ) on a timer for 3 hr noontime run - Runs off PV ||

generator setup problem..
wire size is #6, distance 10 feet, nothing loose..
Generator was putting out 109V...
So I called my inverter guy
He says the generator should be set to put out 125v with no load, and should drop to 120 under load, of 44 amps on each side of the split.Comment
