Dear All,
There is a scenario where I am charging a 100 Ah Solar Gel battery with Thin film module whose specs are
Nominal power output (Pmpp) 117 W
Voltage at Pm point (Vmpp) 108 V
Current at Pm point (Impp) 1.08 A
Open circuit voltage (Voc) 150 V
Short circuit current (Isc) 1.38 A
Open circuit voltage, Initial (Voc, initial) 154 V
Short circuit current, Initial (Isc, initial) 1.40 A
I am using an MPPT Charge controller having 10 Amps rating. Now could any of you please let me know what would be the charging current for the battery. The voltage of the Panel is 150 V and the battery Voltage is assume 12V.
My question is
(a) Will the extra voltage converted into more amps for the charging, as the charge controller is MPPT.
(b) if that is the case, will the current more than the Isc.
Please let me know, how the charge controller would behave in this scenario.
Thanks,
Arasan.
