i have 100 d cell batterys thay are 1.2v each so i was thinking about making a 12 volt pack with 10 cells in each to make about 12 volts, whats the ah rating on a pack of 10?
D cell battery packs ah rating?

Well if they are 1.2 volt cells I can only assume you are talking NiMh or NiCd batteries, D size NiMh and NiCd are rated @ 8 to 10 Ah. So the answer is 8 to 10 AH.MSEE, PE -

so if i made 10 12volt packs it would still only be 8 or 10 ah if i wired the 10 packs in paralle, maybe im confusing ah with reserve capacityComment
