Dear Solar Panel Forum,
I have been asked to design a series of tests that will help determine (once and for all) the actual performance characteristics of the Ni-Fe battery. Today I am asking for your help to design the Nickel Iron Battery Test.
Thanks to a generous State and Federal grant, this test will be carried out under controlled conditions at National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
Based on previous input, I have identified several important issues including discharge rate, charge efficiency, and overall performance given very high and low temperatures.
The draft project plan calls for testing various cells at the 2, 5, 10, and 20 hour discharge rates and at temperatures of -40
