That pretty much says it all. Considering my 1st LFP build and have no idea who's legit, & who's not. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Not looking for best deal or lowest price (necessarily!)... just someone selling the real article, high quality, in properly-matched batches.
Reputable source for CALB LFP prismatic cells?

I have talked to the distributor for CALB in Pomona CA. A friend bought some 80 Ahrs for an EV project and was very happy with the price and quality. They have stock and at the time I could have picked them up at their warehouse in Pomona which would have saved me freight.
I moved North two years ago but do drive to LA often enough that I might arrange a trip to pick some up once I get my needs dialed in.Last edited by Ampster; 11-23-2019, 05:11 AM.9 kW solar, 42kWh LFP storage. EV owner since 2012 -

ThunderStruck Motors, LLC is an electric drive technology research, development and manufacturing company, as well as a retailer of electric vehicle conversion kits and components. Our mission is to encourage the use of environmentally friendly transport by the public and assist individuals with their unique conversion projects.
They also include a link to an Alibaba seller "Cali-battery" but the link seems to be broken. I would assume 'CALi' stands for 'China Aviation' (like the CA in CALB) and Li (as in lithium) so probably the CALB official store on Alibaba, but it appears to be gone.Last edited by dzl; 12-30-2019, 08:06 AM.Comment

Good list. I have dealt with four of them with success. Never bought batteries from them but spent over $1000 collectively for BMS's, contactors, and other miscellaneous EV And battery support items.9 kW solar, 42kWh LFP storage. EV owner since 2012Comment
