replacing one battery in battery bank

Hi all

I have 6 27DC batteries in a 2 series x 3 parallels 24V setup.

one of them has to be replaced,

Can I just replace with another 27DC?

Yes, but the new could be dragged down to the others level quickly.

Are these AGM or FLA

They are marine deep cycle lead acid

I voltage and hydrometer tested all, and independently charged and retested again.

Other 5 are in great condition accept this one.

The battery bank is no longer a "matched" set, so if you can get the same brand of battery, that would be best, and it's imperative that the Ah capacity match. Also - start making plans to replace the bank, marine batteries are good for 2-5 years.

Actually, you make sense, these have been here since DEC 2016, best if I just replace the whole bank.

I am going with a direct FLA 27DC swap, this bank has served me very well since 2016,
