Good day all,
Newbie here with question about charging batteries straight from solar panels. I've got a couple of Sunmodule 250w solar panels that I want to use to charge 12v marine batteries. My scary thought process goes something like this; my panels produce 36vdc, and I want to charge (2) 12v lead batteries. If I connect the batteries to make 24vdc would the 36vdc from the panel(s) be too much for the batteries and if so what should I do? I want to use a 120vac 375w inverter to power a tool battery charger and some other low power items. It's OK, I've got thick skin if you need to toast me.
Thanks for listening
