24v system total ah

Dear solar harvesters.

I have 24v system (inverter, panels, charge controller). Currently I'm using 2x12v batteries sealed lead acid, 105 ah (c20) each, connected in series.

My question is: what's the total amp hours of my system 105 or 210 ? Regardless the C factor.

When you wire batteries in series you add up the voltage but keep the Ah the same.

If you wire batteries in parallel you add up the Ah but keep the voltage the same.

Just for your knowledge. A 24V 105Ah system is rated 2520watt hours and a 12V 210Ah system is rated the same 2520watt hours.

Additionally, to power a 800w load (small toaster) will consume:
66A from a 12V system
33A from a 24V system

So the battery amperage is less (allows you to use thinner, less expensive, easier to bend wires) but the total power consumed is still 800w (not counting inverter losses, which is mostly based on the quality of the inverter, not the voltage it runs at)

The 24v series battery bank still needs ~10% charging rate, in my case 10amps while 12v needs 20amps. Right?
