Leave in or turn off

Just throwing out a question for anyone here. Is it better to leave my off-grid system turned off (inverter off, batteries disconnected, PV array off) when away for extended periods of time or not?
Sometimes not there for 1-2 months at a time.

Everything except panels and controllers. Just relax the voltages and make sure batteries are properly filled with water when gone for extended periods.
