Hey all. I have a generic charger question. Coming from the land of bass boats with deep cycle trolling motors, the chargers are typically "3 bank" etc. I am designing a small, all electric system for a jon boat. My plan is to have 4, 6v 230 ah batteries run a 24v electric trolling motor. I think that should give us plenty of power for a day of fishing and be very quite and peaceful. Now to the question. For a charger, would it get connected to the whole bank and treat it as one "battery" that is 24volts, or would a 4 bank charger that charges each 6v battery individually be more correct? Do those even exist? Does it matter? I've read a lot of topics on here about charging and I a lot of them seem to assume this is common knowledge.

It would be best to charge the 4 batteries as a single 24volt system then to individually charge each. -

I don't trust my chargers to automatically go to float mode when they get above 95% SOC so I keep an eye on them.Comment
