Portable solar solution

Hi All,

Sorry to jump straight in with a question but not sure where to start. I’m basically looking for a portable solar option around 100W to cover all bases:

- Increase my boat’s solar capacity (it came with a 100W panel wired in but I’ve since upped my battery draw).
- Use on the car to keep that topped up while in lockdown and later when adding a leisure battery to go car camping.
- Take camping to charge laptop and phones daily.

If so does anyone have any recommendations as to which brand is best? I’m guessing as long as I connect direct to battery on the boat it wont interfere with the existing panel/controller?

I purchased a Renogy 100w suitcase kit for my small rv to keep the battery charged. It seems to do the trick, although we are power misers because it needed to run my wifes c-pap machine all night. We just use the lights as needed and just leave a candle burning till we go to sleep, it will run her machine and the vent fan until it cools in the rv, charge our Kindles and phones. Stove, water heater and fridge are propane and we have a onboard gen if we really need it but rarely ever run it as we hate the noise.

A small portable solar charging system can be easy to use. Although I am not sure how the 2 charge controllers will work together (or not) when connected to the same battery system.

I bought two 100w panels to go with my 40a mppt Rover charger and a 50ah lithium ion phosphate, all from Renogy, for my homemade camper. The panels are sturdy, well designed, and affordable. They come ready to go with MC4 connectors.
