Troubleshooting (80amp fuse popping)

Hi,

DIY solar setup on van conversion.
Ctek D250SA with Smartass 120.
1x 140w 1x 160w solar panels (parallel)
200ah AGM deep cycle.
Solar and altinator charging.
Had this set up for about 2 years running fine. But recently the 80amp fuse on 2 gauge wire, located between the starter battery and ctek units has been popping. Does it at random intervals, weither the car is in gear or idle.

Had the multimeter on the starter battery checking for spikes in volts, when in idle, didn't notice anything.

Any suggestions what's going on?

It is most likely current that is popping the fuse. Voltage may not give you any idea except there could be voltage sag when the current draw is high.

Disconnect the 2 gauge wire from both batteries and use Ohms on your multi meter to check for continuity to ground. If you have continuity check it visually for a rub through point.

if it is good I would next suspect your cetk is faulty.
