Hello this is a very good info forum. I've been searching and reading now for about 2 weeks. I have 2 panels and sylgard ready to pour, I would appreciate any little secrets you may have on the encapsulation of cells. The only thing different I have done is to create a "tit" on the blue side by lifting my solder iron 1/4" from the end of the tab wire so I have created a space for the sealant to run under. Plz don't kick me because I've built my own panels- any secret to getting encapselent to work is greatly appreciated, thanks

The search function is your friend. There have been several threads here about sylgard, and mixing, thinning, curing, de-gassing and such.Powerfab top of pole PV mount (2) | Listeroid 6/1 w/st5 gen head | XW6048 inverter/chgr | Iota 48V/15A charger | Morningstar 60A MPPT | 48V, 800A NiFe Battery (in series)| 15, Evergreen 205w "12V" PV array on pole | Midnight ePanel | Grundfos 10 SO5-9 with 3 wire Franklin Electric motor (1/2hp 240V 1ph ) on a timer for 3 hr noontime run - Runs off PV ||

Experience - it pays to start small to learn at a lower cost.
Almost guaranteed the first try will be problematic.
Good work though - you are doing something.
