All light waves are waves of energy. The amount of energy in a light wave is proportionally related to its frequency. So high frequency light has high energy (sun) and low frequency light has low energy (FL). The solar panels are made for high frequencies of light.
Light also travels at different speeds. Light waves will slow down when they are surrounded in substances such as glass which is one of the causes of lower energy.

I appreciate your posts, but I'm not understanding the point of all of these random links? I don't like a bunch of random websites being posted because I don't want to put any of the members at risk of spyware and other junk on their pc thanks

We need to get away from the USD per installed watt and use USD per produced watt under some condition.

The above mentioned thin film types with low efficiency and less known lifetime production compared objectively against the silicone types would be interesting - all accessories included.
