Installed watt would be the name plate number - say 210 watts
Produced watt would be that number less efficiency, less inverter efficiency and adjusted for location (or insolation at a particular location) - say LA.
Where I am at we get a bit less sun - for example my solar sensor says 7.34 kW/m2/day for the month of August while panel ratings are done on the basis of 1000 watts/m2 - I would generate proportionately less power than Mike would in LA.
Does that make any sense?
