If you want use no transformer, you need connect the inverter directly to the power line. This is on-grid system. So you need not batterys. You sell your green energy to the public power line.
You can charge DC240V battery use some special MPPT regulator.Comment

Thank you. Since the system should be able to supply power at night it will also have batteries for storage and kept be tied to the grid to enable "net metering".
