Solar Cell layout Idea

I was just wondering if this may work?
Ive been thinking about this today.

Is it possible to mix cells like this? Tiny Mono Cell with Large mono cell that have Equal Voltage But not amps

Someone stated previosly you could mix solar cells

So here is the schematic I done

No. You can mix two sizes of cells in the circuit that you drew if and only if two small cells together produce the same current as one large cell. To a first approximation that means that they have the same area.
If your large cell was 6x6 and your small cells were 6x3 it would work to some extent. Then you would have a total of about 1.5V at the same amps as the large cell.
But if you put the four small cells alone in series you would have about 2V at amperage of the small cells. Which would be more useful to you?

Okay here is what I figure.

The smaller cells all range fairly different from each other. So I give proximate

What do you think now? Im lost for words.
It would be pretty hard to meet exactly the same amount of amps with smaller cells

One Tiny cell produces roughly .80Amp @ .55Volt

Okay. So I tested my first Schematic out

I was surprised. The solar cell in middle is 5 amps. But with the attached solar cells in parallel.
It jumped up to 5.50amp

.50 Extra amps was produced from large cell.


any suggestions why that is?


Im reading 5.95 Amps now. Steady.
