Hi Guys
first hello from sunny south africa !
I have been playing with solar for a while and recently my attention has been fixed on solar water/ air heaters and collectors.I am pretty satisfied with my water heater collector design but found myself wondering how to store hot air for later use,
in the past i have used a big insulated tank of water to reserve heat from the water based collector, but have not seen anyone trying todo the same with Air. if so is it efficient ? can anyone comment ? another way iv seen is to use stone, glass or concrete as a solar heat storage unit.
this is done by placing fine stones or broken glass into a insulted container and pumping the hot air from the collector through the medium so as to heat up the medium for later use in the house.
any comment on this ?
