Yeah, it is the same electrical point so the reading will be the same regardless of where you take it in the line.

That is only true if there is no current (amps) flowing. When you consume current, the 0.002 ohms of the wires resistance (and the terminals at either end) will always have voltage droop proportional to the amount of amps.

I did electrical training in the Marines! Trouble is, not many Marines get into electrical training. Mostly they are training on how to remotely induce lead poisoning.
