I just found this section ....I think I originally posted this in the wrong section so I am re-posting it here.
Hope I don't get into trouble.
Ok.... I left a "new member" post a few minutes ago. Hi everyone.
Now lets see how intelligent I sound.
I am in the pre-permitting stages of installing my solar system. It is a 6000 kw system (20 panels of 300 LG panels). Since I am finishing up a 2000 s/f 2-story addition (built myself) and do not have an accurate history of KW use I am going with a local installer company's recommendation.
Since I may need the option of increasing the system size I am going with the Enphase Micro Inverters.
One branch will have 16 panels and the 2nd branch will have 4 panels (other side of ridge on reverse tilt frames). Each branch will have a junction box. This is where I start having questions.
1. I guess I run the 4 panel jbox through the 16 panel jbox as a "pass thru"..... since each circuit has it's own breaker..... is that correct?
2. From there I will run both circuits in a conduit (probably #10 Romex to accomdate voltage drop since I've got a little ways to go - I can figure that out).... is that correct?
3. Down by the meter ..... I need an AC disconnect..... do I need two disconnects (one for each circuit)?
4. From there it goes to the meter/service panel (200amp) to two OCPD breakers..... is that correct?
Please .. any comments or questions are welcome.
