    Beginner in Solar Energy

    Hi,
    I have 1200Watts Inverter; It converts 12Vdc to 220Vac. What are the capacities of the Batteries and Solar Panels i need to purchase? I want bring electricity in home 18hours a Day. Is there any other technical assistance?

    First you have to determine how many watt hours per day you will need to use. The size of the inverter is meaningless as all it determines is the largest load that can be powered up at one time. Next we would need your location.

      Also, there are TRUE sine wave inverters, and Mod sine inverters. Some household devices run poorly on mod sine. True/Pure sine is the same thing the power company feeds your house. Everything works on pure sine (except your 12V DC car radio)
