    Hello From Pakistan!

    Hello Guys,

I got lots of knowledge from this forum, As where i'm living people do no have much knowledge about Solar setups/equipment's , even those guys who're running such businesses in the market does there own experiments while installing new systems And miss guides most of the time.

So i decided to set up my own DIY small Solar system . I've Two 300W Solar panels connected to Two 440A batteries via 30A PWM 12/24v Charge controller. My whole system is in 12v and from solar to battery distance is about 30 Feet.

I want to get a Grid Tie Inverter, I 've an old Analogue meter installed from (Wapda )Power Company. it is not a smart meter. i do not want to send back any excess energy. even if i'm not using anything i do not want my grid tie inverter to send any power back to Grid. so is it possible to connect it that way?

Hello and welcome to Solar Panel Talk

I really can't give you any help since I do not know about the local electric codes for Pakistan.

In the US the only way to install a grid tie inverter is with the approval of our electric utility. As far as I know keeping any excess power from being sent to the grid requires some very sophisticated control system which may be costly.

First things First, i'll try to contact the Local Electric Company and ask them first what's the procedure.
