Interconnection Study

All,

I know that when planning for a large grid-tied system one must complete an interconnection study with the public grid. I'd like to have some understanding of what this study consists of, what it studies, and what to expect to find in one.

I have tried to get a sample but have not be able too. I will appreciate if anyone could lead me to a source from where I could start. Your help will be appreciated.

I suppose the study would show the local area has enough transformers, wires and loads, that it can absorb the added feed, and not imbalance the area.
