In there spec sheet the different solar panels have their peak power output rated at different voltages. For example the Yingli 210w panels are at 26.6v/7.90a while the SunTech 210w are at 26.4v/7.95a. My guess that is the same panel. The Sunpower 39.8v/5.4a, which is quite different.
While it is hard to detect from the V/I curves which show lots of irrelevant data and are fuzzy around the important peaks, it seems the optimum voltage for peak power varies with different radiation intensities.
Question, how is the operating voltage set and is it optimized dynamically at different output levels?
Sidebar: is there an database of output levels at different radiation levels and do these vary with different natural light spectrums?
Thanks,
David
